Following Monday’s development of his arrest in Florida, George Zimmerman has been charged with felony aggravated assault, according to local police. according to Dennis Lemma, chief deputy with the Seminole County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office, Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend at his home and is being held in police custody.

According to a 911 call released by police, a woman’s voice, who can only be assumed to be that of Zimmerman’s girlfriend, can be heard saying, “He’s inside my house breaking all my (things) because I asked him to leave.”

Later in the recording, the woman is heard telling Zimmerman, “I’m doing this again? You just broke my glass table. You just broke my sunglasses and you put your gun in my freaking face and told me to get the (expletive) out.” The reference to a gun can be corroborated by the police report which states that Zimmerman broke a table with a shotgun and pointed it at the woman involved in the incident.

Later during the night of the incident, a man, who may be Zimmerman, called 911 stating that a woman was “going crazy on me” and said, “I just want everyone to know the truth.”

Zimmerman was found outside his home when authorities arrived and cooperated with the police. Police are awaiting search warrants to search the home for what is suspected to be additional weapons that belonged to Zimmerman.
